A full-service modern Indigenous restaurant on the banks of the sacred Haha Wakpa (Mississippi) in downtown Minneapolis. We prioritize purchasing ingredients from Indigenous producers first, along with featuring many wild flavors that make up our Indigenous pantry. We have cut out colonial ingredients including wheat, dairy, cane sugar, pork and chicken, so our offerings are naturally gluten free, dairy free, cane sugar free, soy free and pork free! Come dine with us and experience true North American cuisine! Reservations highly recommended! But, if it’s a nice/warmer day, you can come grab an outdoor Wankata (upper) Terrace table with a gorgeous view of Hahawakpa (Mississippi). These are first come first serve for dinner, full menu. DUDE NOTE: Although the Owamni website says their offerings are naturally gluten free, this might not apply to all beverages or ancillary items, so be sure to mention you are celiac and ask your questions as needed.
