Our name, Spanish for ‘coastal neighborhood,’ť embodies our approach to seasonal cooking and genuine hospitality in the vibrant seaside community of Asbury Park. By combining a passion for fresh, quality ingredients with practicality and simplicity, Chef found his creativity and innovation in the deep roots of authentic Mexican culture. DUDE NOTE: This place used to be 100% GF but has introduced a few items on their menu that are not. Yeah it’s a bummer, but they still go a good job keeping things safe. Also, note that Barrio Costero is connected to their sister restaurant Reyla. A lot of Reyla’s items are GF but not 100%. They do have team members who cross over from one side to another but food is never transferred.
